Good Messengers Ministries of Northwest Indiana  is starting a "Take up the Shield Northwest Indiana Project." You are most likely on this web page because you share our love and respect for the law enforcement family and our commitment to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to every man and woman who carries a badge. The "Take up the Shield Northwest Indiana Project" is a collaboration among peace officers, evangelists & citizens to equip law enforcement officers to fight not only the criminal element on the streets of America but the spiritual spiritual battle that rages around us. The goal of this project is to place a copy of this inspiring book, Take Up the Shield, in the hands of every peace officer to assist them in both battles.  We ask that you look at the project details within this web page and provide backup to some of America's Finest.

Good Messengers Ministries will also be through this program making sure our officers have ballistic vests. Good Messengers will be working with Ten Four Ministries (www.tenfourministries.org) to purchase the "Take Up the Shield Books" and to help provide ballistic vests if needed. Thousands of law enforcement professionals in the United States and around the world are working in dangerous environments and they do not have a ballistic vest to protect them. In addition, thousands of officers are graciously provided new ballistic vests every five years. While the manufacturer warranty may be expired, often the vest will still effectively protect those that do not have one. The Armor of God Project is dedicated to protecting those that protect us. We will recycle used ballistic vests and provide them to officers that need them.

ABOUT THE BOOK "TAKE UP the SHIELD."
This book was written by a street cop, this unique publication compares the various pieces of law enforcement equipment to the spiritual armor that the Bible describes in Ephesians chapter 6. Real-life law enforcement stories drive home the importance of each piece of equipment. You don't have to be a cop or a Christian to be encouraged and challenged by this book. In addition to building your faith, this book will serve as a helpful introduction to the men and women who protect you and your community. You can order a preview copy direct from Ten Four Ministries by Clicking Here. Make sure to give your copy away to a police officer, after reading the book!
10% of the proceeds from copies of "Take Up The Shield" purchased through either Ten-Four Ministries or the Take Up The Shield Project go to the 10-33 Fund, to assist peace officers in financial need.

"I read Take Up the Shield in one sitting. It's solid biblically, has great personal stories, and is a must-read for anyone in law enforcement or for people who want to understand that they also put on a 'uniform' every day." ~ Bill Fay, author of Share Jesus Without Fear

Here is  what another Christian organization is trying to do in the state of Oklahoma with this project...

* This effort would not have been possible were it not for the dedicated work of

Cpt. Travis Yates, of the Tulsa Police Department. As director of Ten Four Ministries, he is likewise endeavoring to raise funds to provide body armor for officers stateside, and worldwide, who for various financial hardships or department policies are forced to serve us without that added protection to themselves.

Please consider his dedicated services on behalf of the people of Oklahoma, and Police officers everywhere at ‘Armor of God Project ‘ - http://www.vestforlife.com/
